Dr. Giridhar Hariprasad
In May 2005, he graduated from Mysore Medical College in Mysore, Karnataka, India, which is affiliated with Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences, and in September 2009, he completed his General Surgical training at the prestigious St.Marthas Hospital in Bangalore.
Further, he received his training at Bengaluru's prestigious Sri Jayadeva Institute of Cardiovascular Sciences and Research. He remained to serve as an Assistant Professor at the esteemed institute after completing his training, coaching new heart surgery students.
After a brief time at Care Hospital in Hyderabad, he was selected for the Adult Cardiac Surgery Fellowship program at the renowned Auckland City Hospital's Greenlane Unit, where some of the world's most prolific cardiac surgeons have trained.
In 2018, he was awarded the FRCS (Cardiothoracic Surgery) Edinburgh by the Royal College of Surgeons in the United Kingdom. He returned to India in 2019 and practiced in Kurnool and Visakhapatnam. Aortic surgeries and heart transplants are two of his special interests.
He has also conducted various lung surgeries with remarkable success, including lobectomies, decortication for empyema, VATS Pleurodesis and Pleural biopsies, VATS wedge resections/ Metastasectomies in the thoracic region.
